Victoria Hayes is a young designer who debuted in 2016, and whom I have been following since. Each collection she presents becomes more eye grabbing, inspiring, and insanely gorgeous. The fabric and details that Hayes pairs is entirely unique which makes each piece come to life. Her design style showcases a feminine yet strong motif throughout. It is no surprise that her work has been worn by celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Alicia Keys.
Hayes presented her newest collection at New York Fashion Week, and is the 2019 recipient of the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award for Womenswear. Let’s take a look!
Main Color Scheme
Inspired by Sin and named Inferno, it’s understandable the color palette consisted of red, white, and black. Red for lust, and viewing the world as white and black. I do love that the colors are very pure as well as vibrant. It grabs the attention of any viewer quickly.
Plethora Of Textures
Velvet, leather, vinyl, silk wool, lame are seen throughout the collection creating a very luxurious feel. Attention to detail is not skipped in Hayes’ designs.
Bold But Feminine
The theme consists of pieces that are masculine yet feminine at the same time. Thick notched lapels paired with skirts, ultra tailored suits, and beautiful dresses with large shoulder detailing demonstrates a soft side with a masculine touch. As we have seen in many shows this season, there is a sense of conservative and moody motif throughout.
