A few weeks ago, Condé Nast Traveler held an event at the Cadillac House in New York City. The event highlighted the short films that travelers around the world submitted to the magazine. I was intrigued by 1- the newest home for Cadillac ( they just had their opening a week prior) and 2- the films selected as the winners.
To me traveling is immensely therapeutic. It is the time to get away from the daily routine, open my eyes real wide and see how other parts of the world live. My problems automatically become minuscule. My imagination immediately broadens, and the limitations on how I think life should be lived are destroyed. Traveling to me is that powerful.
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit all different corners of the Earth. I’ve journeyed into the jungles of Belize that have yet be touched by archaeologists, to feeding kangaroos in Australia. I’ve seen the deep blue seas of Greece and ate pasta in Italy. I’ve shopped in France and played miniature golf in Ireland. The list continues, and I loved it all. I cherish those memories as some of the best times in my life. This one reminder sums it all up perfectly, “Travel while you’re young and able. Don’t worry about the money, just make it work. Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be.”
Here are a few images from the evening. In the comments let me know your favorite travel destination or where you would love to visit?

Skirt and top are by Zara. The top is from a previous season, here is a similar look. A similar skirt can be found at Nordstrom. My purse is Deux Lux, similar style here (vegan).

Great post! Great copy! You put into words I never could about traveling.
You look absolutely beautiful, girlie! I adore your outfit, the shirt looks great paired with the pleated maxi! I was going to attend this event, but last minute wasn’t able to, I would’ve seen you there! How did I not realize that you are an NYC blogger, too!? I’ll most likely see you at other events in the future, which I definitely look forward to! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a wonderful long holiday weekend!

Love your take on travel – you’ve been to so many places! I’d love to visit my friends in China one day, and see New York. I haven’t done much travelling.

You looked amazing at this event! I thought it was cool how you paired a stripped top with your pleated skirt. Loving the color on that skirt by the way! Plus laying the brown leather jacket over was cool also. I am loving the mix-matched prints and textures!
