This Is Why I keep Moving

why i keep moving

“Too often, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut, doing the same thing the same way over and over every day. But if we are going to live at our absolute best, we should constantly be growing and sharpening our skills. We should strive to learn and grow every single day because when you stop learning, you stop growing. When you stop growing, you stop living.

What are you doing to stretch yourself? What are you doing to improve your skills? Don’t get trapped into thinking that “good enough” is good enough. You were created for more than just average. Today is a new day, and there are new heights for you to climb.”

I opened an email and read these paragraphs over and over to myself. As it states, it is easy to get stuck in a comfortable situation, whether that be a job, a relationship, or a house. That’s the main reason why I keep moving. … The moment I feel incredibly comfortable, it’s time for me to start all over again. Not because I don’t like comfort (I looooveeee to be comfortable and would hibernate if I could). But because I intuitively know I am not growing or learn as much as I once had when things were new.

Not learning, not growing, not expanding my mind is the most dangerous things in my opinion. I want nothing less than to be fully immerse and experience everything this life has to offer. The majority of time, that means feeling incredibly uncomfortable and face fear head on. The amount of pep talks I give myself is rather embarrassing, but that’s how I make it through and keep moving onward to new discoveries.
