Yesterday morning was probably the best morning I’ve ever had. I don’t know if it is the end of the holiday parties and I get to let down or the fact I was able to enjoy NYC like a kid, but I laughed the entire hour and a half I spent with Google. I met up with my fellow Team Pixel members in Union Square. I had no idea what to expect, but I was instantly greeted by a row of decked out Pedicabs. Like I said, I instantly began to laugh and smile. I’ve never been in a pedicab before, but always wanted to know what it was like to see New York City in one.
I quickly learned that Google is offering free pedicab rides for the next week from Union Square to their pop up Store on 110 5th Avenue. So if you are in the area, look out for the Pedicabs with Treat Yourself written on the back.
Sitting in the cabs, we were taken around Union Square, up Park Avenue and then over to Fifth Avenue. They wanted us to have the full experience. Inside each Pedicab was a Google Home Mini, so you can listen to whatever music you like while enjoying the city view.
We ended in front of Google’s Pop Up Store. Before heading in, there was a hot cocoa truck that printed our faces on marshmallows! You can customize your hot chocolate with a variety of toppings as well. I went with peppermint and white chocolate. It was amazing!!
We then heading inside the Pop Up where you can view all the latest hardware made by Google. Including the Pixel 2! There are also plenty of interactive experiences as well, such as jumping inside a snow globe and taking photos in several different lighting! If you buy a Pixel 2, you can even have your portrait printed on wrapping paper that you can take home that same day!
