Confession, I woke up this morning with a full-on panic attack. To give you an idea of what’s going on, I was watching Sunday football when I heard someone say, “Isn’t crazy that each game can be career ending?”
That resonated because that’s exactly how I feel right now about the next two weeks. There is a lot of pressure to perform and a lot of pressure to perform at the highest quality I can. Now, granted most of the pressure I place on myself because I want to do well and I know I have it in me to impress. Then the other half is very realistic, I have huge names watching every move I’m making right now in my career and I am feeling it!
So today, and for the next two weeks, I found a very soothing playlist to calm my nerves, keep my focus on the goals and hopefully get some sleep.
Along with music, I love doing breathing exercises or stretches. Moving my body helps release the physical tension. Whether it is simple yoga routines, or stretching my legs and arms as far out as possible, I feel a complete release. I like to remind myself when I take time to listen and relax that everything will be okay. It always works out, and I am doing the best I can.
