I was recently approached to test out the latest Pixel XL by Google in the color Really Blue. When I was growing up and asked what color I wanted to paint my room, I chose an exterior blue. The type of paint you typically cover the outside of the house, but I wanted it for my bedroom. My mom was skeptical, but it turned out beautiful. I also picked out matching blue cloud sheets for my bed. Long story short, I loved the color blue.
Fast forward a decade and not much has changed. I am still in love with the color and excited to have my number one accessory (my phone) in blue. But that’s not the only reason why I am loving the Really Blue Pixel XL.
After a month of testing it out and playing with all the features, I really began to love the handsfree google assistant. I am able to say “Ok Google” and proceed to tell my phone what to do. This is perfect for those moments when I am doing my hair, working on an article, or cooking. I am able to use the google assistant to play music, look up information, or call someone without once touching my phone!
The other feature I am really excited about testing more in depth is the unlimited storage space. I am heading to NYFW this week, which always means tons of photos. Last season I had to delete apps, delete photos, or missed entire shows without one photo taken because I ran out of storage. It was a pain. To know I have unlimited storage and no need to delete anything to create more room is a blessing!
The feature I was pleasantly surprised by is the Daydream app. It is Google’s virtual reality that allows you to watch VR Youtube clips, explore a completely fictional world, or install other games to play using their headset. I spent about an hour in bed watching all the Spring Summer ’17 runway shows to prep for this season. The Rag & Bone runway was done in 360° where you can turn your head and see the entire room! It feels like you are actually there.
Of course, I couldn’t leave out the star power camera quality. Again a feature I am so beyond excited to try during fashion week. I already snapped a few photos and noticed how well it does it different lighting. I will share more images it takes in the upcoming days. Stay tuned for that!
For now, I want to share the absolute beauty of the Really Blue Pixel XL from Google.

The really blue pixel xl and daydream headset were gifts from Google to test and try, but the opinions are all mine!
