GiGi Hadid’s Pre Spring Look Recreated for Less

Pantone recently announced Greenery as this year’s color. With that in mind, I thought the way Gigi Hadid styled this olive green Zimmerman Coat is perfect for a pre-spring look (you know that awkward time where it isn’t cold, but not warm enough to go sleeveless). I also adored the crop jeans and the mules Gigi is wearing, both trends have been popping up the last year. Each piece is perfect to have in your Spring closet to mix and match through the season, however, the cost isn’t so friendly. So I went on the hunt and found Gigi Hadid’s Look for Less.

The Look

Let’s break down the look from the coat to her shoes. Her cropped jeans are from Sandro, retailing for $275. The olive green Zimmerman Coat goes for $665. Her Nicholas Kirkwood mules are $425. The Sunday Somewhere sunglasses are $320 and that Tom Ford bucket bag is approximately $2,500.

Gigi’s total look costs $4,185. While that’s fine to spend if you are a top model, and most likely gifted a majority of the products. But maybe an everyday shopper isn’t going to drop 4K for an outfit.

How To Save

To make this look more affordable and attainable. I pulled from brands like Topshop, The Real Real, and Vince Camuto to recreate the outfit. I stayed with brands I trusted and knew implemented quality control. Yes of course, H&M and Forever 21 would have even cheaper options, but I wanted to supply alternatives that will last you a few years.

I went with jeans by J brand on sale for $89.97 at Nordstrom Rack. If you have spare jeans, you can always cut the bottoms to crop them and create that raw hem look that’s been trending. For the Olive green coat,  I picked a Topshop jacket at Nordstrom for $99. These mule shoes by Vince Camuto look close to what Gigi is wearing but only costs $99. For sunglasses, I went with round Topshop sunnies costing $35. For the purse, I went with an investment piece. This Mansur Gavriel Bucket bag at Real Real is only $283.50 (50% off). It is a handbag that will last and maintain its value, plus it is in a color that can fit any season and most wardrobes.

The total look cost is $606.47, a fraction of what Gigi spent.

  1. Ellese, I absolutely love this piece. While you provided a look for less, you opted for quality clothing items. I like that you didn’t go with the typical F21 and H&M route. Can’t wait to see more!!
