My absolute favorite part about Fall is breaking out the boots. I love my over the knee boots from Stuart Weitzman, which you can see how I styled here. I plan on styling these boots in an even more casual way very soon to share on the blog. These over the knee boots are so versatile and will add to any look! Definitely worth the investment.
I don’t know why but I love back to school shopping. Even more so when it was for college. All the fun clothes, beauty products, and room essentials. It was fun to pick out new things, new color palettes, and new trends. Eagerly anticipating wearing certain items to different functions like football games and sorority events. Makes the heart patter just thinking about it!
It is that awkward week between Christmas and New Year where work could get done, but rest is what we all really need. We worked hard all year, it is time to get comfy and plop down for a few days. I find that most of us don’t take time off, but I am here to say it is A-okay to stop and relax. Take a moment to reflect on the past year and just enjoy a couple of days of downtime.
The past few days I have caught up on some much-needed sleep and family time. I even carved out time to do nothing. There were days I just lounged in sweats and it was heavenly. There were days where my biggest outing was getting coffee from Starbucks, those were the best moments of my holiday vacation.
Staying comfy is the first requirement to slowing down. My favorite loungewear is from Free City. I have been wearing their sweatshirts for years. I find them super comfy yet a fun chic look for moments at home. I also really love Spiritual Gangster. Their phrases make me smile. Wildfox is another favorite and I am loving this star sweatshirt they have out right now. Even Burberry is getting in on the action of loungewear with this sweet sweatshirt. Here are a few more of my favorites:
I hope you are able to get comfy and relax this week! Share your favorite moments of relaxations with me in the comments below. What do you like to do to slow down?
But then again, it is the era of second chances! Think about all the 90s revivals that happened this year. Gucci was bound to get a makeover. This successful makeover is attributed to the new creative director, Alessandro Michele. He definitely took the brand’s image up ten notches. Besides the vibrant colors he infused into the double GG line, Michele made a point to stay one step ahead. Partnering with graffiti artist Trouble Andrew to create the latest installment GucciGhost, is just one example.
So you want to get your hands on some Gucci pieces? Here are the top looks of the moment:
Switching out those summer sandals for some amazingly cute fall booties. I live is sandals during the summer, and in fall I live in comfy flat booties. I lately have been on the search for the perfect Fall ankle boots and this is what I found.
If you ever meet me, the first think you will quickly learn is that I am the Queen of finding a great deal. Hotels, flights, apartments, food- against all odds I manage to find unbeatable prices. It is a skill set I am tempted to put on my résumé.
When it comes to designer handbags, I’ve learned ways to buy them at a fraction of the cost or at the very least save a few hundred dollars off the regular price tag. Today I want to share with you, how you can grab a designer bag for as little as $100 and Chanel under $1000. I am not kidding! And if you are a big time Louis Vuitton fan, check this out.
Thanks to The Real Real, Saks Off Fifth Avenue, and a few other amazing outlets; owning your very own designer bag is certainly possible. I love shopping through these companies because I can rest assure that what I am buying is authentic. Plus rebuying pieces helps reduce the carbon footprint. Take a look at these beautiful pieces and click on the image that fascinates you for more shopping details. Enjoy!

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to discover the cute online boutique, Ily Couture. The brand launched in 2011 and is bring chic pieces to consumers at an affordable price. Aesthetically speaking, it is totally up my alley with multiple staple piece and trendy accessories. I love their fun, simple yet sleek designs — like this off the shoulder top that I am drooling over!
It looks very finished without all the fussiness of traditionally trendy outfits. If I were to create a label, it would look exactly like ILY Couture. That say a lot!
