I was recently sent the Slip Xo pillowcase to test out and review. I have been incredibly curious by this brand for some time now after reading other bloggers’ experiences. One travel blogger even went as far as recommending these cases while you travel so you don’t wake up with sleep lines or creases on your face. It was when Jen Atkin started promoting it, I knew I had to give it a try.
One thing I hate about living in New York City during the summer is how sticky it gets, especially in the subway stations. If you constantly overheat during the summer or face public transportation during 100-degree weather as I do, here is a simple trick to instantly cool you down.
You normally wouldn’t think champagne and hair care would go together, but that’s exactly what happened when Cuvée beauty was formed. Each and every single Cuvée product contains a unique blend of champagne, white truffle, platinum ferment extracts, resveratrol, ceramides, plant proteins, and botanicals. I mean talk about a hair elixir. You can read how the founder came up with the idea that the bubbly drink would work as a hair product here. The real question is, does it work?
It is the season for really light, floral and whimsical fragrances. I honestly can say Spring and Summer perfumes are my favorite. I lean towards floral scents and shy away from musks.
Here are my favorites perfumes this season, taking you from date night into vacation mode:
Oh how much I love a beauty product that multitasks! If a product makes my life easier, I’ll love it to the end.
I recently tested the Beautycounter Cleansing Balm. It is a natural face cleansing balm (read: no parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, PEGS, SLS or secrets) that hydrates your skin while removing grit from the day.
Added bonus! It is so easy (and fun) to use. The product comes in a beautiful glass container. There is a soft, linen, cleansing towel to help remove the product, and two plastic wands to help scoop the product from the container. The wands keep it sanitary so you don’t double dip and helps prevents any bacteria from your hands to mix with the product.
How To Use
Placing the face cleansing balm into my hands, I used circular motions on my face. The balm melted effortlessly into my skin, nearly instantaneously. The makeup lifted easily as well and my face began to shine. Next, I took the cloth that was supplied and dampen it with warm water. I gently removed the balm and residue with the cloth. Afterward, I washed away the rest of the balm with cold water. All done! While other makeup removers are harsh and drying, I noticed an immediate softness to my skin. I highly recommend this product. It is a super easy way to keep your skin fresh all Summer long!

Oh, I hate writing bad reviews. I try to keep this blog as positive as possible. When I receive products that I am not fond of, I typically skip posting about them to make room for services or products that I love. However, I was gifted the November Birchbox to review, so a review I must do. Here are my honest opinions.
I have been waiting to share this goody with you! A natural and safe way to whiten teeth without even trying! You heard me right. Boka, a natural oral care brand sent me this box to try. No pressure to review, no need to post. But once I began hearing “wow you have such white teeth” every other day after using this product for a month, I knew I had to share my secret.
Didn’t get much sleep last night? Or the night before? Don’t worry because YSL beauty created a product that will make you look like you just had a restful 8 hours. This YSL highlighter is in a form of a pen, making it easy to apply to those small crevices under the eyes. The formula instantly lightens the face and covers any dark circles. It can be used as a highlighter on the bridge of your nose, top of your forehead and top of your cheekbones. It is an all in one miracle wand if you ask me.
I absolutely hate cleaning my makeup brushes. It is always a tedious event where I get so messy and water goes flying everywhere. It is just not my thing. But recently I received Japonesque solid brush cleanser. It is a goat milk balm that gently cleans all types of brushes with such ease!
